Terms of Use

UCLA encourages the use of this site and other UCLA sites, regardless of domain address, as a way to share information and knowledge in support of the university's three-part mission of education, research and public service. These sites are owned by The Regents of the University of California and operated by UCLA. Site content is subject to change without notice. While most sites are publicly accessible, certain services and information offered online may be restricted to specific users or segments of

Web Site Content

Consistent with university policies and regulations, UCLA upholds the principles of academic freedom and shared governance, freedom of speech, and privacy in the use of electronic resources by our faculty, students and staff.

The UCLA Web space contains official pages in support of the core mission of the university or related administrative business. It also contains Web pages generated by groups or individuals whose expressed views do not necessarily represent the views of UCLA or The Regents.

Privacy Statement

UCLA External Affairs maintains all records for the Parents’ Weekend site and is responsible for updating data. The Parents’ Weekend Web site and its online functionality are for official university use and individual communication between users and the university. This Web site and any information included are for personal use only. The use of any information relating to the site for any other purpose, including but not limited to: 1) reproducing and storing in a retrieval system by any means; 2) photocopying; or 3) using addresses or other information for any private, commercial or political mailing or contact, is strictly prohibited and in direct violation of copyright. Such use would also constitute misappropriation of university property.

of Parents’ Weekend registration and administration.

In addition to the policies outlined above, UCLA Parents’ Weekend has adopted the following guidelines to ensure customer privacy and protect personal data.

1. Information Collection and Use

We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (e.g., profile information) or allows us to contact you. Such information may be requested when you register for Parents’ Weekend. Your profile information may be used for the following purposes:

  • To help us create content relevant to you
  • To alert you to site updates, new features, benefits and offers

2. Profile Information Specification

If you choose not to provide profile information, you will still be able to access content and attend Parents Weekend.

3. Personal Information Updates

We provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. Make inquiries or provide updates via e-mail at parentsweekend@support.ucla.edu.

4. Security

www.ParentsWeekend.ucla.edu protects the security of your personal information. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction. Personal information will be used for Parents’ Weekend business purposes only.

5. Feedback

If you believe www.ParentsWeekend.ucla.edu has not adhered to the principles above, please notify us by e-mail at parentsweekend@support.ucla.edu. We will do our best to determine and correct the problem promptly. Please be sure the words “Privacy Policy” appear in the subject line of your e-mail.
